By default WordPress uses URL’s like http://yourdomain.com/?p=123. That looks kind of ugly and it makes it harder for visitors to come back to a page. If you want to display the post name in the URL follow the steps below:
- Click Settings → Permalinks.

Install All In One SEO plugin
You can select among several SEO plugins to make Off-Site page optimization. We use for our self All in One SEO plugin. Here are some settings you should make:

- After installation you will find the All in One SEO plugin on the top left side.
- Activate/Deactivate the following features for your Website:
- XML sitemap
- Social Meta,
- Robots.txt,
- For Pages and posts you should:
- Set a page Title,
- Set a page Description

Manage Alt tags for images
Search engines love if the Alt tags of images are not empty, so you should manage that. If you don’t know how to do that look here
Install W3 Total Cache plugin
